In days of yore ..... |

|
And then, of course - where to find us on the day!
The Show Field is Here!
Grid NY 156 239
“Opposite New House Farm”, in the beautiful Lorton Valley |

|
Directions: If approaching from the North, follow signs from the centre of Cockermouth to Lorton, Buttermere and Loweswater (B5292). Lorton is approx 3 miles south of Cockermouth, and the Show Field a further mile (B5289). If approaching from the East, you could either come in via the A66 and Cockermouth or sneak over the Whinlatter Pass, taking the Braithwaite exit off the A66 approx 1 mile west of Keswick. Not recommended for oversize vehicles and valuable stock! From the south/south-west, the scenic route is via Loweswater, but tends to be slow – suggest you make your way via the A595/A66 or A5086 to Cockermouth for ease of access. There are 6’ width restrictions on the scenic route too. |
