Race Report: No records broken today but the unusually pleasant weather made for good Running. Mike Fanning's performance was the talk of the show-ground: He missed the start having just driven five hours from Fort William (placed fourth in yesterday's Nevis Race). The rest of the field had over a minute's head-start on Mike but he worked hard to put himself in the lead by the top-turn. He cruised home a minute ahead of Chris Edis. Lyn Thompson also raced yesterday and was first lady home in spite of complaining of sore legs! It was good to see four newcomers to the sport from Buttermere Youth Hostel.
